It would be Sod’s law that when I needed it the battery would be flat !** A: Don't think it warns you, but you can test it now and then by pulling out the pin for the noise (I cover it with a thick pillow to protect my ears) or by activating the torch. **Q: What size batteries please?** A: It comes ready to use, you do not have to buy batteries separately. **Q: Can it cause hearing damage?** A: I really don't know the answer to this, but I would say if you needed to use it to summon help, you shouldn't worry about hearing damage. The ‘Minder’ would certainly frighten anyone aiming to have a go and that is all I wanted.
