Changing to this stem will ensure your bike comfort as the years go by.The stem shaft is longer than many stems. This will provide additional height to the handlebars.The best feature is that the stem angle is adjustable. With a quick adjustment, you can easily change the angle of the stem. This provides immediate relief if you have been been bending over too far.The stem is no more difficult to install than any other stem and seems very strong.The only "disadvantage" is that you have so many different comfort settings, it will take a bit of trial and error to find out what setting works best for you.I'm closer to 70 years old than 60 and I'm certainly not a flexible as in my younger days. I was riding less and less because I wasn't very comfortable riding any more. Replacing my current stem with the Kalloy Uno 822 Adjustable Stem has given me the cycling comfort I "sorely" missed ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars A great quill stem because it's adjustable *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2021* I have a beach cruiser, and such bikes have a longer frame which puts the bars further away from me. I had changed the bars which made things worse. I didn't like the original quill stem because it has one bolt and needs a lever to open it enough to remove the bars. Recently, I needed to service the headset bearings, and to do that I had to remove the grips, brake levers, gear shift lever, light and computer. This adjustable quill stem has a removable clamp so the bars can be removed without taking everything off them. The bars had to be removed to get the quill out in order to get to the bearings. Now I have it adjusted so the stem is vertical, and this brings the bars 3" closer to me. If I reverse the quill, the bars could be brought even closer, but they are great where they are, now. Nice quality, too. I'd recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars This stem is not 25.4 mm in diameier. The 25.4 mm is for the handlebar diameter. Otherwise, it seemed like a well-made piece of hardware.
