Just add a packet to a 16oz bottle of water. (I take a swig of water first, to make room in the bottle, add the contents of a packet, recap the bottle and gently shake to dissolve the powder and mix the drink.) The mixed beverage is somewhat fizzy, so I have to be careful when removing the bottle cap. The flavor of the drink isn't too bad. It just kind of tastes like some vaguely fruit flavored powdered drink mix. It's not great, but it's certainly tolerable to my palate. I'm not drinking it for the flavor, I'm drinking it for the energy. More importantly, I chose this brand for what's NOT in it. I want an energy drink with zero sugar and zero artificial sweeteners. It is sweetened with Stevia leaf extract, which I understand won't appeal to everyone, but again, as far as I'm concerned, the taste isn't too bad. The ingredients are super clean, the packaging is great (especially love that they sell this in 30 packs instead of others who sell 5-10 servings in a hugely oversized box) and they don't make any untrue claims about the product. The energy I get from this is very smooth and consistent, without any sharp peaks or crashes. It's only 100mg per serving so it's not going to put you into overdrive, but if you double up it's got a nice kick (although the flavor suffers).Things that could be improved:- I hate drinks that are excessively sweetened so it was nice to find one that's not, but they went too far in the other direction. It just isn't sweet enough. I add one packet of Stevia in the Raw to each pack of Pureboost and it comes out perfect.- The aminos are a tad overpowering. If you've ever used BCAA drink powders you know what I mean. Aminos have a distinct smell, and they're not entirely water soluble so you have to shake the bottle every time you take a drink. You don't taste them (Pureboost at least got the flavor right) but you can smell them every time you bring the drink to your mouth. I'm not bothered by it as I've used aminos for years but some folks are turned off by them.- The flavors are a mixed bag. The citrus is great, clean and natural tasting. The berry is a tad bitter but adding some Stevia to it smooths it over. The acai is the only let down, with a little too much bitterness and sour for some Stevia to overcome. The acai doesn't taste bad, it just isn't good.Will I be buying Pureboost again? Absolutely. For the price, it's a stellar product.
