Let me attempt to put your mind at ease... Before buying this, I was trying to reuse an extra screen protector I had from another 4 inch device. That screen protector DID fill the entire space, but because the panel on the 40XX V is curved, the "full-screen" protector did not sit totally right and it was prone to getting dust and other crud in at the edges. It definitely bothered me to the point where I bought this product. TLDR, this fits in the "correct" way, you don't want the screen protector to fill the entire screen space on the device because the panel is curved.
