Works great and good for your cats. Clean it weekly and wash out the filter. One downfall is the rim has lots of water spots that I cannot remove.

My cats love this moving water!!! However, this was the THIRD pump that I have had to purchase to keep the water fountain running. That is most upsetting. I was on the verge of looking for another moving water for the cats, but I decided to give this fountain one more try as it was evident that the cats missed it when it was not working. And, so far, all is well! The pump is running fine and the fountain is providing my two cats with fresh water all day long.It was the pump that I purchased this time. Other than that, this is a very pleasing water source for cats and probably small dogs as well. It lights "blue" at night so that it can be found easily. It is very quiet. And I find it no trouble at all to clean once or twice a month.........about 10 minutes from start to finish. The fountain is a convenient size so easily placed anywhere in the house or apartment. If the pump works, it is a purchase well bought!

After 2 years of continuous operation the pump in my Kitty Spout fountain failed. It was very easy to replace and the fountainn has been working for about a month with no issues.Update. After a year of continuous operation the pump stopped working today. I received it and used a toothpick to give the rotor a push and it started right up. I cleaned it with small brushes, dish soap, and dilute bleach to flush out the gunk and it works as good as new.If your pump stops working try my method to see if you can revive it. The pump seems well built but those small passages can accumulate debris
