Can it be corrected, or is the head defective?** A: Mine isn't making noise but I know exactly what your talking about as I've heard that type of noise before in the past with other showers. I believe it's because the water pressure may be too high. Did it make noise with your old shower head? Thoughts?** A: I'm assuming you mean the ball joint were the shower head swivels and turns. If you just installed and it's leaking from there, return it for a replacement. It should not leak. If it's leaking between the connection to your shower, then be sure you used the included Teflon tape on the threads on the shower then reinstall the shower head. **Q: Is there a filter on the shower head?** A: There actually is a metal mesh filter on this shower head where it connects to the pipe.
