Does silicone covered feet is gentle on the instant pot in her pot, as well as my countertop or anything else I put it on. I then simply put the basket in the dishwasher and it came out perfectly clean. BTW, it doubles as a colander, draining better than the actual colander I have in my cabinet. I had borrowed one from my sister that was also Stainless Steel, and it was solid with holes in the sides, and had Orange Silicon protectors. I have found both types to be equally easy to clean. I steamed half of a large bag of broccoli, and there was room to spare, and the handle makes it very easy to remove from the pot. It also has feet that are covered with Green Silicon, as is the handle. On this basket, unlike the other basket, the silicon is solid, and is not removable, which means that the feet coverings are not going to be washed down the drain; that is a good feature, and I can't see any reason for those pieces to be removable anyway. This basket also came with a round Green Silicon Pot Holder/Mat. I would highly recommend this product for your Instant Pot. It actually comes in a 3, 6, and 8 Qt sizes.
