I keep swirling the beans over the heat without actually setting the coffee roaster directly on the burner. I will swirl beans to the left for one minute and then swirl to the right for one minute alternately keeping the beans in constant motion so they do not burn. I will keep doing that for about 10 to 12 minutes until I hear the coffee beans start popping. You’ll be able to see the color of the beans changing from greenish to a dark brown. You’ll just have to experiment to see which roasting time is the best for you. But for me, 10 to 12 minutes usually results in a dark roasted coffee bean. Hope this helps. **Q: What country are the materials from and manufactured?** A: It is a glazed ceramic and it says it is made in Korea. **Q: What heat source does this use?** A: You can do it over your stove top. Mine is gas , you can use a portable butane as well.
