Superb workroom quality, soft and easy to work. 6 rows of pockets on both sides for height adjustment Review: Fantastic - Bought this to replace the existing 3” tape head on a set of ready made curtains I had. Fabulous quality, nice and strong, I have hung the curtains from the lowest hook point and supported by the gathered head give the fabric plenty of structure to stand upright and not allow the curtain to flop forward. I will definitely be buying this again. Although it would be good to be able to purchase in shorter lengths than 10m. Review: It's 'curtains' for shallow tape! - I am very grateful to Roomserve for a wonderful product, swiftly delivered. This is closely followed by a massive THANK YOU to all the lovely people who answered my question about this tape - because they gave me the confidence to go ahead and remove the boring old tape from my curtains. Not only did I achieve the desired reduction in length without cutting or hemming; the added depth at the top totally transformed my bog-standard pair from Dunelm. If anyone is considering doing the same thing - I'd recommend finding an exact (or very close) colour match for the thread that you unpick. I thought I was quite the clever-clogs with my wide, fancy selection of colours, but none of the blues were sufficiently subtle or pretty to match the required shade of Chambray. The perfect match was Mettler Seralon 100% Polyester Blue Whale 0309. It was absolutely worth the extra expense - and only adds to the professional finish provided by this terrific tape. As my dear mother used to say "it's not worth spoiling the ship for a hap'orth of tar". ## Features - 6" (152mm) Deep Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading Tape. Excellent quality and easy to work with. Machine or Hand sew - 6 rows of corded pockets on both sides of the tape to take curtain hooks across the whole length. Each row of 1cm deep pockets are set 1cm apart giving the ability to adjust the height of your finished curtains - Using the finest 100% polyester yarn, this White Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading tape is designed and woven to our exacting standards in the UK. A Roomserve branded product - To make pencil pleat headed curtains look nice and gathered you would normally have twice as much fabric widths as window widths. So, if your window is 140cm wide you would require 280cm of fabric width…..Thus 280cm (2.8 metres) of pencil pleat curtain heading tape ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01H2T9G92 | | Best Sellers Rank | 615,484 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 651 in Curtain Tiers | | Brand | Roomserve | | Colour | White | | Compatible Material | Fabric | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 145 Reviews | | Item Thickness | 6 Inches | | Item Weight | 0.54 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Roomserve | | Material | Polyester | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Pencil_Pleat | | Size Name | 6" * 152mm | | Special feature | Pencil_Pleat | | Surface Recommendation | Plastic | | Surface recommendation | Plastic | | UPC | 787269255371 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Roomserve - **Colour:** White - **Material:** Polyester - **Number of items:** 1 - **Recommended uses for product:** Sewing ## Images ![Deep Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading Tape 6" (152mm) Corded Pocket - 10 metres - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71j9fsQxzkL.jpg) ![Deep Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading Tape 6" (152mm) Corded Pocket - 10 metres - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81pMB1PkkCL.jpg) ![Deep Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading Tape 6" (152mm) Corded Pocket - 10 metres - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ji-5GFcjL.jpg) ![Deep Pencil Pleat Curtain Heading Tape 6" (152mm) Corded Pocket - 10 metres - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819YI-6PhLL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Please could you tell me whether any of you bought the 6 inch tape to replace the shorter depth tape that your curtains came with?** A: I have used this tape both as replacement for 3"tape, and as new for new curtains. Ideal for longer curtains, and I also use it to create my own goblet or cartridge pleats, as the depth is ideal, and I can space them to suit the size of the window and width of fabric available. Hope this helps, if you need more advice please ask, I am happy to help! :) **Q: Can I use ordinary plastic hooks with this tape?** A: Yes, plastic or metal standard curtain hooks are fine **Q: In your pictures it shows 50mtrs sticker, yet on description it's 10ths for Β£22.95, what is correct mtr, also is tape stiff or soft? Thank you** A: Hi, sorry for the confusion, this listing is for 10 metres. The tape is relatively soft and easy to work with **Q: Do I need to use a stiffener such as buckram under the 6” heading tape.** A: No, the tape will be stiff enough to support the curtain heading ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic *by R***P on 22 January 2025* Bought this to replace the existing 3” tape head on a set of ready made curtains I had.
