My old one was a Ryobi that was a combo stud finder and some kind echo distance meter. My complaints with the old one was that it would use batteries too fast, it was bulky, and it wasn’t extremely accurate. This is none of those things. It also has the ability to do basic room calculations to determine square feet and volume. The only negative I had was that it comes programmed with Metric as the default, but the instructions show you how to convert it to Standard. It’s also nice because it has nice flat sides so it can be pushed against a surface when trying to measure long distances.
