## Description

The Coleman Instant Pop-Up Canopy Tent and Sun Shelter with LED Lighting, 10 x 10 Feet, lets you enjoy the outdoors any time of day or night. Great for picnics, barbecues, campouts, and more, this sun shelter is made with UV Guard material that offers UPF 50+ protection from the sun's harmful rays. The lightweight telescoping poles with pinch-free Comfort Grip technology can be extended comfortably without having to reach over your head, allowing you to set up the canopy tent quickly. Once assembled, the canopy offers stable shelter on grass, concrete, and asphalt thanks to its welded steel feet. When the sun goes down, the fun can keep going thanks to the 6 built-in CPX LED lights that supply 400 lumens of illumination. The lighting system can be powered by 4 D-cell batteries or one CPX 6 rechargeable power cartridge (both sold separately). When it’s time to pack up, the shelter folds down quickly and fits easily inside most cars.

Review: Very pleased with this one - I bought a canopy last year from Wal-Mart (can't even remember the name) and immediately took it back once I put it up at home. It just didn't look like it would of held up very well. I figured I'd wait for the right one to come along at a good price and I think I found it with this particular one here. It is pretty solid when compared to some of the others that I've seen. The canopy itself seems to be sewed together nicely too. It fits well on the frame and has extra material on the corners to hold up to the pressure that is put there when fully extended. I had a little problem trying to drop down the legs. I was pushing the button and pulling on the leg but it wasn't dropping down. All I had to do is just pull a bit harder and then I could get them to drop. I think I was babying it too much at first because it was new. The LED light feature is really nice. The lights are already attached to the frame so you don't have to assemble a thing. The only thing you have to do is put batteries in the dimmer box...slide it into place...plug wire into box and you are ready to go. The dimmer box knob glows red when it is plugged in so you can find it in the dark as well. The lights can crank up very bright too...or you can dim them down to almost nothing. Putting it up wasn't too bad. For the first time it was a little frustrating. I still don't know how two people can put it up in 3 minutes. It took myself and another about 15 minutes...but that was the first time. I guess with practice you can work out your system. I haven't had it very long and I plan to take it camping this summer as well as use it for an upcoming yard sale and a party event later in the summer. If I run into any problems...I'll be sure to update the review. First impressions however are very good. It's built well and I think with the proper care this should last for a while. I got it at a great price here on desertcart too. It went on sale for $168 and they also offered a promotion for $20 off any Coleman product over a $100. So I got it for $148...with free shipping. Everything arrived well. It came packed in an outer box with the Coleman logo on the outside. Update: 6/26/14 I've been using this thing for a few years now and it is still holding up well. The led light system still works and the legs/frame are as strong as ever. The canopy has seen plenty of sun and rain with no problems. I just recently returned from my yearly camping where we were pounded with desertcart rain forest deluge for 2 hours. The canopy did leak after that...but to be honest every tent and even the tarps that I had covering one of the tents leaked! Some of the water leaked into the plastic LED light covers. I had to carefully pry them open to dump the water out...but they still worked! I've used this thing for backyard family events, yard sales, and other camping trips where rain was involved and it held up well. I just think it finally met it's match recently. I am still pleased with this purchase and I am satisfied with the build and quality of this particular canopy. I still recommend highly.
Review: Really loving this canopy! - Just got this canopy for an upcoming camping trip. Set it up at home to check it out and we are very pleased. The design, stability, and craftsmanship are impressive. The LED lighting is simply the bomb and one of the things that swayed me to this canopy over others. I shopped long and hard, weighing the pros and cons of so many other models before deciding. My canopy wish list included size (atleast 10x10), with staight vertical legs, instant set up, screen walls (or the ability to add them), and that it be leakproof. The built in lighting wasn't really on my list, because frankly I couldn't find any model other than Coleman's that offered it. Price was also a big consideration. I was giving serious consideration to two other models that have screen walls and actually state that they are leak proof. The thing that held me back was the 400 to 450 price tag. Ouch! Now, I know several other reviews of this canopy warn that it is not leakproof and that Coleman doesn't sell it as such, but I think I can thwart that issue. Here's my logic. Back in April, we purchased a Coleman Instant Tent, even after reading mixed reviews, some reporting the Instant Tent leaks and others saying not. I went ahead and ordered it because we really wanted the instant set-up and were willing to utilize a tarp if leaks happened. We're seasoned campers and have been faced with having to remedied "rain leaks" many times. First trip in our new Coleman Instant Tent ended up being 4 days of nearly non-stop rain, very heavy at times. The tent didn't leak, not even a drop. I'll admit, we put a tarp over it the second day, but that was because it was storming so hard that we feared falling debris from the trees would stain or perhaps puncture our new tent. Since then, I've checked out reviews of Coleman's Seam Sealer. I've never used it but everyone seems to have good results. Our experience with the Coleman tent gave me the confidence to go ahead and try their canopy. And, although I've not yet used it while camping and therefore haven't rain tested it, I plan to treat it with Coleman Seam Sealer and hope we stay dry. I ordered the Coleman Instant Tent Screen Walls, as a compliment to the canopy. So glad we did, they fit perfectly and we are thrilled. At this point, I'm quite happy with our purchases. Having gotten everything on my canopy wish list, plus the LED lighting is a complete bonus, and all for under $300 delivered! I'm feeling as though I've shopped victoriously! I'm also hoping I'm not bragging too soon. Our trip is planned, 5 days in November. We live in Florida, so we're almost assured of rain. I'll update after I find out whether or not my scheme to own a leak proof screened canopy at an affordable price has ended as I've planned. Wish me luck!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Good Investment!
*by P***E on June 24, 2015*

Just ordered my second one! It was easy to put up with the help of another person - though we actually had 4 of us doing it. Lots of room and height. The dimming lights are such a great bonus. Provides great lighting in dark area. We originally bought this for a party we had to have a shaded place for the bar and some food. It worked perfectly! I did purchase extra things for it because my plan was to keep it up all summer to block off pesky neighbor and also to have a shade area. We got one privacy/sunwall panel - super easy to attach and does the trick! I got the King Canopy weight bags and filled them with pebble rocks from Home Depot to add extra anchor weight. We did secure the canopy very well with the provided ground spikes and rope for each corner - staked into the ground.. It lasted the summer through 2 or 3 major storms with heavy rain and gusty winds. It lasted through the fall again through some storms. We were amazed!! We had planned to take it down for next season but got caught off guard with a snow storm- and there it stayed through the Northeast winter! It lasted through a few snowstorms-I went and knocked the snow off a few times... but come February there was a about a foot long tear in the canopy. It kept tearing and then the Blizzard showed up! The four sides all remained in tact. the canopy tore from where the original rip was and pulled just one of the ceiling brackets... then just that section collapsed under the weight of the snow. Expected! But again, let me add it was one tough product!..... As far as leaking goes I did spray with a waterproofer and did the seams too... a little bit of water came through and the light unit eventually filled with water. But again if you take this down in bad weather it will last! It is a canopy as stated - not a camping tent! Convenient roller bag included. I just ordered another one!! and will keep using until I can build a permanent structure. Good investment.
