Winsor & Newton Classic Water Colour A5 Pad

Absolutely adore this paper! Really high quality, easy to remove from the pad... Very professional looking. I will continue to buy this for my smaller pieces ^-^

Really not happy with this paper at all.Firstly, I thought I was buying 100% cotton paper, as the item description says to expect the highest quality cotton. Apparently, only some of the pads from this range are made of cotton. The one I got (A5) is wood pulp. This was not clear in the description and I trusted the seller being WN without doing further research outside of this listing. That was silly.Secondly, the paper is just not good. I have other wood pulp pads which behave much better. I wouldn't recommend this WN A5 pad to anyone wanting to paint with watercolours, including beginners. The paint/water literally sits on top, it doesn't go into the fibers of the sheet at all. It's very difficult to blend and when moving the paint lightly with the brush, it just glides as if the paper surface is waxed. The paint lifts extremely easily, but if you lift more than once, the paper appears to tear! Especially with more granulated pigments. Honestly, this should be labelled as regular cardboard suitable for other crafts perhaps, not watercolour.Not sure what to do with this pad, as I have used one sheet already. Can't seem to contact the seller as it was dispatched by Amazon...Advice: avoid, pay a few more £ for a paper with a high cotton content and it will change your watercolour experience.

Un blocco ottimo per le mie esigenze basiche. Forse la carta è un po' troppo della tendenza ma per quelli di voi che sono ancora all'inizio - da consigliare.
