You get the exact same shades as shown - 3 each of Black and Blue and 2 each of Red, Green and Purple. The nibs are somewhat pointed and you will be able to write on most surfaces. I bought these as part of a house shifting to mark boxes, packing tapes, plastics etc. and they worked well on all of these surfaces. Where I found these to be light in shade when writing, I just wrote on top of the original writing one or two more times, so that they would appear nice and dark. These dry and stay well enough as far as my experience is concerned.
