They are a good size, maybe a little thin, had to use a few more than I thought I would have had to in order to make what I was making but it wasn't a big problem. I will know more about the potency when I get the vanilla extract made. The packaging was really good, no air could get in at all to dry them out. The packaging is a thick plastic that is resealable, like a sandwich bag. I used all of my beans at once to make vanilla extract, so I don't know how they stand up to storage in the bag. The beans were plump and slightly oily, with a rich, almost overpowering scent of vanilla.
