It’s a flexible/bendable foam; not rigid. So it’s great for custom use. The sound proofing is as expected. It dampens sound, and is easy work with. Just put it up, so we will see how long the adhesive lasts. In the spot where I used it, there is a vent that has worn other soundproofing prematurely. So if it sticks more than a month then it will outperform more expensive ones we have used in the past. I will update in a month. Slight odor, but not overly offensive. I imagine it will fade. I cannot smell it unless right next to it.

This stuff sticks like barnacles on a sea vessel. Forget trying to reposition it once it touches — you’re tearing it off in little pieces. Didn’t work as I had hoped, however, I think it could in the right situation. Prefer it being super sticky (as it is) to being a half committed loser of a product (like my daughter’s boyfriend).
