I love the eco friendly credentials of the mat and the ethos of EcoYoga. It is exactly as described and more! Lovely natural colour which I find calming and perfect for my practice. The texture is really grippy, both on the floor and on the feet and hands (I have tried it on a carpet and it works well there too!). The more you sweat during power yoga, the more grippy it goes which is exactly what I'd hoped for (I don't do any hot/Bikram yoga so not tried it there). The jute in the mat is perfect - textured but not rough. The pure rubber side of the mat is perfect for folding over when doing any knee/elbow/head work. The support is sufficient for all the types of practice I do (although I don't have any particular joint injuries so can't comment on that aspect), with versatility provided by folding. It has a lovely, delicate coconut/natural scent when you put you head/nose on it (as in child's pose) not at all smelly or unpleasant. It is relatively heavy, but this is something I wanted as I like to feel secure on a heavier mat. There is absolutely no movement on it in any pose, even if it's on carpet or on a blanket on top of wood floor. I had no contact with the seller directly as I had no need to - the mat came beautifully packaged and arrived a day earlier than expected - it took 72 hours to come!!
