Maybe I need to cover the entire wall with them. Seems like you need to commit and go all or nothing with room treatment panels to really hear the difference. Giving 4 stars as it may be user error. Review: NOT 48x24!! - I bought 2 packages of these intending on covering more wall space than i was actually able to. And, that was because their measurements are quite wrong. These measure 47-1/4 x 23-5/8!! When you're expecting to be able to get two 24" pieces out of one panel and can only get one, it's an expensive scrap that you're left with. The positive side of these is that they are very nice looking. You do need a very sharp utility knife and a straight edge to cut them. They do come with very nice, thick adhesive squares. I'm not sure how cleanly they'll come off of a wall if you aren't a homeowner. They were super sticky! These panels help deaden sound or muffle sound vs being a total sound absorber. We have them on an adjoining bedroom wall (well, only part of the wall because of the size issue!). Instead of hearing words from a conversation in the other room, it was more like Snoopy's teacher. Waah waah waah. So, I'd recommend them if you go into it knowing you aren't getting the size they say in their description. That 3/4s of an inch in length is huge, expensive difference! I'm not willing to pay for a third box to complete the project.
