The rating and performance of the frying pan tested in American Test Kitchen led me to GreenPan Valencia Pro. Amazon offered a better deal than GreenPan's site during Black Friday.The stainless steel finish currently blends in with other stainless steel saucepans we've acquired ad-hoc. This is intended to be an 'everyday saucepan' for cooking oatmeal, browning butter, steaming broccoli, mixing and melting hot chocolate, and sauteeing garlic. It was weighted just right and heat distributes evenly without hotpots in the saucepan. The handle stays cool and grips comfortably, even when iifting it filled with food.The best feature is the effortless clean-up. Scrubbing and soaking food remnants cooked into stainless steel cookware is and takes extra time to clean. The ceramic surface in the saucepan removes the muscle work required to clean it thoroughly. It only takes a strong stream of hot water from the kitchen faucet to clean most of it - problemOverall, it's a beautiful pan built with a quality allowing it to be used daily for years before it needs to be replaced. I was given other pieces of this brand at Christmas and needed this size too. I love the fact that things do not stick to the pan and cleanup is so easy with just a little soap and water. I do not put them in the dishwasher because of the ease of cleaning. It will harm the finish and you will not know it is happening until it is too late.
