Original has a plastic insert on the spine of the portfolio and inside it usually has a plastic folder/sleeve connected to the inside cover. Evolution has a stitched up border but without the plastic spine and inner folder/sleeve. Both are the same in what it's used for, which is to protect photos or artwork. Both are great.
