I just noticed that many of the negative reviews are mentioning texture or flavor. Just wanted to say this is a functional gum, where you can get the benefits of a reflux remedy in a very easy to carry form. Yes the flavor doesn't last a long time ( which I find to be the case with most gums anyway) and if you chew it cold it can be a bit crumbly. I warm it up for a minute or so in my hand sometimes, but I honestly don't mind the temporary crumbly texture. It comes together really quickly and it does its job as an alginate. That's what I'm after! I really like the gel and hoped this product would be effective as well. It is! Easy to have in my purse or pocket when I need it in a pinch. I got the tropical flavor and it's tasty.

I think chewing this gum helped my GERD but I must have chewed it for a long time because I think I have TMJ now. The gum is hard and requires a lot of chewing. I suggest you chew it after meals for only about 20 minutes.
