I bought it thinking I was going to get an industrial-strength tape but it won't hold anything in place. After trying to manipulate it into place (on two-sided sticky tape on which the non-sticky side of this 3M product would NOT stick) and handling it with my fingers, this tape proved even less tacky. This is the most disappointing buying experience. ### ⭐⭐ CHECK WHO IS THE SELLER! *by A***W on Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2020* When using the tape I noticed that the side that was exposed to the air had no tackiness, but the side that was covered with the red backing was suuuuuper tacky. From some research, it seems like 3M only sells this tape in gigantic rolls to resellers, who then cut it up to size and resell online. So I presume my roll of tape was bought in bulk, cut to size, and re-rolled, therefore reducing the tackiness.Protip:1. So one thing you can do is make sure that the seller is someone that is recognized, or Amazon.com. My roll from "Weupe Retail" was not sticky at all.2. Learn how to apply double sided tape. Prepare the surfaces, heat up the tape with a heat gun/hair dryer/lighter, press firmly to apply tape to surface (20 seconds or so), remove tape backing, clamp the two pieces together. Apparently the tape reaches 50% strength in 12 hours, and 100% strength in 24 hours, so you better find something to clamp with =) ### ⭐ ZERO ADHESION ON TAPE *by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2020* I ordered this same product from the same seller only a few weeks ago. It arrived with two wax paper sheets to protect the edges of the tape. That roll worked as it should. I ordered the same roll from the same seller only three weeks later and this time it arrived in a sealed plastic bag. It even had some sort of authentication sticker at the start of the roll. I decided to test it out at home before taking it to work. I had a nearly weightless piece of trim that came loose from a recessed light, cleaned both surfaces and applied. Scotch tape would have held it up longer. I use VHB for work. This stuff is either very old or counterfeit. I'm getting so exhausted with all the shoddy products sold on amazon.
