The built-in magnets securely hold the cover closed. Good drop protection. Your Kindle wakes up when you open the cover. The cover lasts for about four years of daily use, as I just started using my third ACdream cover on a Voyage purchased 8 years and two months ago. After four years the outer cover was still in good shape, the stitching on the front cover was still intact, but the inside lining was getting dirty from being held, and one magnet came loose, due to wear on the inside liner from opening the cover several times a day.
