The additional thickness allows the case to lie flat on desks/tables without the camera touching the surface. The cutout on the back also makes it easy to find the fingerprint sensor. The case is easy to install and remove from the phone. Doesn't feel overly rubbery, which is great so that it can be removed from my pocket without grabbing the fabric. The texturing on the side works great for holding the phone securely in one hand and the faux leather pebbling on the back is a classy touch.
