Review: Tons of fun! Best tinywhoop ever! - This Air65 is a blast! It flies great indoors and outdoors as well. Very quick and range is good. Good video quality and ELRS/video range. Flying it is a white knuckle heart pumping experience! It is quite durable too, although my first one got cut short because the VTX antenna got disconnected in a crash which fried the VTX within a few minutes. desertcart replaced it and I added a dab of E6000 near the VTX antenna connector on the new one which has prevented this issue from repeating. I've crashed the replacement tons of times with no problems besides a broken canopy which is a quick fix. You will need more canopies (get the Air II canopy!). The stock canopy has a minimum camera angle of 25 degrees which is hard to fly indoors for beginners. The Air II canopy is lighter, more durable, and goes down to 15 degrees which is perfect. You will also need a few sets of replacement props as they do get bent up pretty quickly when crashing indoors. I haven't had this much fun in a long time!
Review: I love this little deal - I believe the negative reviews are user error, to say the least My first rodeo with erls receivers, fpv and betaflight. I had this air 65 bound to a radiomaster pocket in a couple minutes, low cost arris headset found the channel in 30 sec and I am a freaking pilot now 😂 Using 300mah batteries, charged to 4.35v @ 1a (OVONIC 5 packs for $22], starting out, - indoor I get 4:30-5:15. Throttle limited and scaled to 50%, 200 taken out of each of the 3 rates. Outdoor in the winter, at 100% and factory rates, with max angle at 75 degrees, I average 3 min wide open throttle the entire time and coming in early. That same tuneup indoors averages 4:20-4:30, but it’s a lot of power for indoor usage. I prefer to tame down the tune up for indoors (75% scaled throttle and 100 out of each rate) I learned to drive it without the headset for ten battery packs or so, then I’ve been using the head set ever since. Throwing the headset on is an entirely different world, and takes some time getting use to. But I haven’t put it down since. I love how it hits something, rebounds like it was nothing and keeps trucking. I hot swap pack after pack for hours on end. 20 packs strait and it never even gets hot, (unless you let it idle without the props on for an extended period of time) It’s speed, internet says it’ll do 28-29mph, but my dji mini 3 does 35-38mph via its gps and this air 65 race will run out of its life. Overall this was a solid purchase, I’ll likely get another as a spare (I did), as it’s an excellent trainer. I feel like it’s teaching me what I need to get my 5” finished and the general gist on how to fly it. Pictured: I used heat shrink on the adj canopy mount, to re angle the camera farther than the mount allowed. Worked perfect for slowing the copter down so I can learn with it. This Air65 is a blast! It flies great indoors and outdoors as well. Very quick and range is good. Good video quality and ELRS/video range. Flying it is a white knuckle heart pumping experience! It is quite durable too, although my first one got cut short because the VTX antenna got disconnected in a crash which fried the VTX within a few minutes. Amazon replaced it and I added a dab of E6000 near the VTX antenna connector on the new one which has prevented this issue from repeating. I've crashed the replacement tons of times with no problems besides a broken canopy which is a quick fix. You will need more canopies (get the Air II canopy!). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Freaking awesome.

This little thing is awesome. Really hard to fly indoors with my skill level, so much power. Haven't had any super hard crashes yet but after just one day I've crashed it about 20 times. Hope the new ban doesn't hurt the consumer drone market over our urge to destroy the ability for commercial chinese drones to compete in the us market. I just found this hobby dang it. Update: 1-8-2025. Flying this thing is addicting. I've gotten way better at flying it, so now I've had dozens of very hard crashes at full speed into walls trying to go through narrow gaps. Finally broke the camera mount but not bad enough to switch to the spare it comes with. I ended up buying the air 75 too, the 75 I've broken the frame in two different spots but it's still not bad enough to switch to the ultra light frames I bought. Though ive broken the camera mount bad enough i need to replace it. Very happy with these little things. Wish I would have bought the air75 from Amazon instead of ebay. The air75 had the previous version camera and isn't as good as quality as the newer version that came on the air65 I bought here. These little drones are very durable and only get damaged from very extreme wrecks into hard surfaces.
