We brought it to the beach. No need for us to weigh down or secure the legs, yet it wasn’t very windy. We adjusted the height of the legs to control the shade as the sun moved. This canopy is great! We were able to stay at the beach for six hours on a sunny August day in South Florida! Definitely would not have been able to stay that long without it. It overdelivered on both! *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2018* Excellent canopy and worth much more than it actually cost! The main reason I bought this was for at the beach. I wasn't sure if it was going to work because we've always used umbrellas and one of those half tent shade things. I didn't want to spend a ton of money in case it wasn't going to work well for this purpose. I got incredibly lucky! Not only did it work great at the beach but it was every bit as good as more expensive models.There were a couple things about it that I'd change which is why I gave it 4 stars (I wish I could give it 4.5). First of all, the canopy attaches to the frame with Velcro at the corners. One of the corners on the canopy did not have Velcro. All 4 corners of the frame had Velcro. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or intentional but I'd rather have all 4 corners secured. With that said, the canopy was still on tight and never came off. Second, I would like more height adjustments on the legs. It has 3 heights if I remember correctly. At the shortest height, it was still higher than I'd like for our purposes at the beach.It as far more sturdy than I expected. We set it up in the sand at the beach and I used bigger stakes than it came with. It comes with those thin little tent stakes which I new wouldn't work at all in the sand. With the stakes I used it didn't blow over once the whole time we were there.
