I know that shopping for personal blenders is a NIGHTMARE AND A HALF, because they either don’t chop, don’t hold a charge, burn your house down, etc. If you’re going to take the risk to get one anyway, just go with this one. When it works, it pulverizes everything you put in it. When it doesn’t work, Ninja stands by their products and takes care of the issue. I’m updating my review to 3 stars, but if my replacement blender works, it’ll be 5 stars. Oh, and by the way, the customer service dude was really pleasant and spoke English. Nice sturdy base and container give it a great quality feel. Also the instructions and description of how to use the blender and what to look for as far as the indicator lights was very well laid out. The lid as well with the handle is also a big bonus not to mention the flip cap. Cons: the only minor thing for me is that when I make my smoothies using frozen strawberries and other frozen berries is that you will have to hit it for two 30 sec cycles to ensure the berries get completely blended and not form clumps. For me this is no huge issue just something I have discovered and if I have spend 1 min to blend my smoothies instead of 30 seconds, no big deal. I would also recommend buying the accessories cap for the bottom and cover for the blades that are offered through third party. If you do not want to haul around the whole blender with the blades these things work great! Since I'm not very fond of either, having smoothies seemed like the perfect solution. Scrolling through all of the blenders, most seemed like overkill. I only needed something to make one serving at a time, so a portable smoothie blender seemed like the way to go. I ordered the Ninja Blast Portable Blender last night and assumed it would take a week to arrive. It was delivered this morning. Awesome start. As for the blender itself, it works like a charm. Easy to use, just small enough so that it doesn't take up too much room in my tiny kitchen, creates the perfect portion for a single smoothie, and is very easy to wash. It's battery operated, charges via usb-c, and took about two hours to charge. Since I just got it, I don't know how many smoothies it will make on one charge. People say around 20, so we'll find out in a few weeks. The attachable cup used to blend is also used to drink out of, which is really very convenient. The only thing that could be improved is that the cup doesn't have a bottom cap, so if you don't want to pour it into another cup, you have to leave the base attached while you drink. Not a problem, since it's small and relatively light, but it would still be nice to have a bottom cap for the cup so that it can be removed and used as a normal cup without the base.
