The bristles are firm enough to take care of business but soft enough to pamper your skin! The brush head can be removed and has an elastic band that allows it to be used hand held. The head slides onto the end of the handle firmly. After use, the brush easily rinses clean and dried nicely, not matted or depressed. The bristles have maintained their original form. I highly recommend this addition to anyone’s shower or bath routine... a must for those looking for a fantastic way to feel complete after a shower! It feels so good! You won’t be disappointed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Needs Breaking In & Adjusting To, But Very Good *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2019* Rating this thing on softness is kind of weird - I don't really *want* a very soft scrub brush. The whole point of this thing is to scrub well so that my back is clean. So I gave the brush a 4/5 'Softness' rating because it technically isn't soft. However, that's exactly what I was looking for. It *will* take some breaking in and getting used to it, however with a dab of soap and some warm water, the bristles soften up over time and your skin adjusts to being scrubbed.The brush is very sturdy, the only issue I have ever had with it is that the head fell off of the handle because I hadn't mounted it securely enough. After that happened, I used a rubber mallet to attach the brush head, and I haven't had an issue since.On top of all of this, I use this brush daily and it still looks basically brand new. The bristles haven't fallen out, and the wooden parts are still the same.
