Review: INS 551 - The packaging says "No added preservative". The ingredients say INS 551. Technically, INS 551 is not a preservative. It is an anti-caking agent. Its official chemical name is Silicon Dioxide (often referred to as silica). While preservatives are used to prevent food from spoiling due to bacteria, mold, or yeast, INS 551 is used to prevent physical changes in the food—specifically, it stops powdered ingredients from sticking together. I don't know if it's possible, try not to add anti-caking agent.

Its official chemical name is Silicon Dioxide (often referred to as silica). While preservatives are used to prevent food from spoiling due to bacteria, mold, or yeast, INS 551 is used to prevent physical changes in the food—specifically, it stops powdered ingredients from sticking together. I don't know if it's possible, try not to add anti-caking agent.
