This precision cam follower has a thick-walled outer ring that helps minimize deformation under heavy radial and shock loads. It has a threaded stud-type design for through-hole or threaded mounting, with a screwdriver slot on the flange end for keeping the stud from turning while tightening the mounting nut. The inner stud has inch threads manufactured to class 2 tolerances. This cam follower is made of bearing steel treated with black oxide for corrosion protection. The working surfaces of the inner raceways and flange are zone-hardened to support contact stresses from the rolling elements, and the inner ring is ductile to help absorb shock loads. The bearing holds a full complement of needle rollers for a higher radial load-carrying capacity than caged rollers. The CF series cam follower includes lubrication holes on both ends of the stud and through a cross-drilled hole in the stud shank.
