Grinding wheel malfunctions doesn’t happen often but can be traumatic when they do. I mostly use these grinding wheels during welding processes like cleaning metal before welding, removing defects in my weld, and cleaning up splatter, smoothing corners and edges and such. And they work great for that and I’m sure they would work great for any application dealing with grinding on steel. I’ve used the cheaper ones and they have they’re place I suppose, but for quality fit, performance, longevity, and piece of mind, these 3M grinder discs are the better value. You know what you are getting with these.

These things eat through steel. They cut fast and wear slow. Definitely worth the extra buck each over the cheap ones.
