They held up to abusive testing. I formed a sling and loaded it with my 200 pounds body weight, bouncing. While the buckles did deform in this use beyond design parameters they did not slip or break. I would buy again & recommend to friends. In the pic, the left & middle buckle were abused in my test. The one on the right is unused.
