Some reviewer’s have said the caps rust. I hand wash mine and thoroughly dry them before adding salt or pepper. The little bottles take a long time to dry because the opening is so small so I set them on my stove while cooking which warms them up and helps the water evaporate. If you live in a humid climate, you can add a little rice with the salt.
