I do admit to having a little trouble getting it to come on when I first tried it, but after working with it and grasping the metal cup by the side edge to turn and release it I was then able to put it back in place easily. Just find the little notch and turn until it clicks to put it back in place. It works great and is not too loud. I like that you can choose the consistency of the grind, too and it works with a timer and shuts off when finished grinding . I honestly have no negatives on this grinder and I’ve used it daily for about a month now. Check out my video to see how it’s done. Review: I bought this specifically to grind dried ginseng into powder. After some time, I was able to grind it into a fine powder. One drawback (and hence, the 4-star review) is because the powder gets under the bowl and also sticks to the lid-it's not easy to scrape off, but was able to get most of it with a mini spatula. I had to use canned air to get the dusting of powder out of the inside though. It's a good value for the money, and works well. It's also easy to use and the perfect size.
