Most flea treatments work for a period of time meaning they must repel fleas too. The major thing that upset me though is that this stuff irritated my poor cat's skin and caused some hair loss too. She's an anxious cat and hates these drop treatments anyway and now she'll loathe treatments even more. I used this on my kitten too, Luckily it didn't burn her skin but I am not sure that is only because she got a flea bath too some hours after application.
