The 70th anniversary Love Rock model starts with a one piece African Mahogany body. Something of a rarity in itself.... and then Tokai added the best of Canadian flamed Maple in the grade AAAA... Absolutely amazing wood by any standard. The neck is also one piece of African Mahogany with a deep set joint with a radius of 300mm and 22 Sanko SBB-213 medium jumbo frets and a 43mm bone nut. What better to play on but an Indian Rosewood fingerboard? The tuning is by Gotoh SD90-SL and the strings run over an adjustable bridge with brass saddles and are secured through an aluminium tailpiece. The pickups are TOKAI Mk 2's with Alnico 5 poles. The standard pot configuration of 2 x Volume + 2 x Tone are by CTS with a Sprague Orange Drop capacitor. The three way toggle switch is by Switchcraft as is the jack socket. The finish has to be Nitrocellulose of course!
