I expected it to be big but to my surprise it's portable enough to put in my diaper bag if need be Unless your kid has snot dripping everywhere, it's best to use saline before. For young infants, their saline nebulizer or saline mist with a mask instead of squirted up the nose is less invasive but not as helpful at thinning the mucus (their brand saline spray burns when I tried it in on myself) Overall I'm very impressed.
