I figured that after a month or so the benefits would diminish, but they have not. The negative is that my hair thinned noticeably in the first month but not to the extent that people noticed. After the first month there has been no noticeable change. I told my doctor what I was taking, he scoffed at it, but didn't tell me to stop. It has been a year of taking it and my arms, chest, and legs are bigger than what I was able to maintain in my early 50s.

I started taking compounded GLP-1 about a year ago: I had gotten to a very unhealthy weight and it was affecting everything in my life. Semaglutide worked wonders for helping control the food noise, but it made me really nauseous in the beginning and while I was losing weight, I was also losing energy and libido - which wasn’t awesome. I just turned 47 at the time and I was already concerned I was seeing the impact of lower T before starting the GLP1 meds, but they just made the whole thing worse. Before taking the full plunge in getting blood tests etc. for testosterone, I decided to see if there were supplements that could help - if I saw improvement, it would at least indicate this was the right direction. I got a bottle of Alpha and started using it and it was clear it was not snake oil - without getting too graphic, taking two a day has given me back what I had lost while letting me power through the first few months of semaglutide. The results are more energy, more feeling like the me I remember. Worth it.
