Stays in place. We'll made and washes well. Ive had it now for a year. I thought it would keep my hair from frizzing but it doesn't. It does keep my rollers more in place and is very comfortable unless its a really hot night. I dont know if this is silk. It feels more manmade and is hot and doesnt really breathe like I figured it would. But who knows. What it does do is keep my hair from touching anything on long airplane flights or from getting lice or dirt on mission trips and while hosteling/backpacking.
