The photographer just did not understand what he was photographing.** A: Not sure if you can find this photographed on another art supply site. BTW, the image in the 3rd photograph is not this set. We plan to add them to the Amazon catalogue by September **Q: Would these be good for adult coloring books for backgrounds and do they need to be sprayed when finished so they don't smudge?** A: I use these for my background in my adult coloring book, there is no tooth for these pastels to grab onto so you only get a very light shading for background. After I color my picture, I add a little of these and it gives me a beautiful pale background that really makes my colored pencil coloring really pop. Good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good but some colors may be an issue *by R***S on January 4, 2021* I like the variety of colors, and the mini size of the pastels did not bother me because I really wanted a sampler box. So for me, this set works. But be aware of the size; see my photo that shows the box with a quarter on top of the pastel sticks in the top left corner for scale. The issue I had immediately was when I swatched out a deep blue on gray-toned paper, and the pastel wouldn't blend out. See bottom right corner of swatch paper photos. I then chipped off some blue dust from the same pastel, sprinkled it on the paper, and then blended. This worked fine and blended out well. See top right on paper in photos.
