It was fairly easy to put together, I put it together myself, but I would definitely advise you to have two people do it. I didn't read the description very well when ordering it and was surprised to find that the entire frame is metal, not wood. My mistake. On the plus side, the metal frame makes it very easy to store his Tonies. They stick right to the frame! The bed frame is sturdy and looks good in his room and he is very pleased with it. One note for you adults: watch out for your head ..I whacked mine on the frame because it is low, so beware. I would say its a good value for the price. It should last for years. It would work just as well for a boy's room as a girl's room.

I'm a grandma and bought this bed for my 4 year old grandson. It was fairly easy to put together, I put it together myself, but I would definitely advise you to have two people do it.
