THe umbrella hasn't inverted but I did feel like I was going to fly away a couple of times. Also, one of the ribs pulled away from the cap on the perimeter of the umbrella itself. It repels it and covers myself and my backpack well. I do wish it had the convenience of a better closing system, like a button to pull the umbrella back down like others have, but it works well enough for what I need without it.
