Initially I bought it as a machete replacement to cut branches and leaves around my home thinking it wouldn't last long. For the price it was the same as a regular machete. But when i got this it blew my mind. The blade was nice and sharp. The rubber grip felt so good and comfortable. That same day I took outside and started cutting all the branches in the way. Sure enough it did a hell of a job. The blade was hitting wood, vines, branches, concrete and metals fences. Surprisingly the blade held up. Yes it did lose it sharpness and some of the black paint did chip off but as far as the blade goes it held up. No big chips on it, didn't bend and i was able to sharpen it right up. This is a cool product to do simple cutting or just an awesome piece to hang on the wall.
