**Q: Does the pulley last long?  Mixed reviews saying it's plastic and breaks.  I need to lift a 350lb hitch on and off my truck. Thanks!**
A: I've used it this summer to hoist approx twenty 70-pound hay bales to the hay loft, so I haven't had it long enough to know whether or not it will break.  I went out to look at it again, and the pulleys do appear to be hard plastic though (not metal, like the other pulleys).

**Q: What is the length of one pulley and hook?**
A: The hoist  measures 21" from the top inside of one hook to the top inside of the  hook. The 2-1/2" nylon pulleys provide a 7:1 lifting ratio.  Each individual hook and pulley set measures 8-5/16"L overall. Each hook has an overall length of 2.5", is 11/16"W at the mouth opening, and  has a thickness of 13/32" or .40" .

**Q: it says it is for 2 tons and then says 2000 pounds. Which is it? 2 tons is 4000 pounds.**
A: I would attempt to lift over 1000 pounds with this pulley system.

**Q: what size/opening are the hooks?**
A: The opening is approx. 1.0 inch of space. We connected a braided rope to it that almost didn't fit and will be difficult to get off. Hope this helps.
