There is a great Korean Market Fried Chicken recipe from Maangchi using kinako powder: https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sijang-tongdak. I also used just the kinako powder as breading, and it works just like flour. Make sure you put in a bit of salt or savory seasoning, otherwise it will taste too sweet. To my surprise, I found it on Amazon. I’ve tried other brands of kinako, but their taste falls flat. The Shirakiku brand is a staple in my home and used especially at New Year’s. The powder is mixed with white sugar to coat warm mochi.
