I have to start by saying that these phones don't have to hang their head in shame compared to any of my best 'phones. In fact I find myself using these for casual listening even in my better stereo systems (McIntosh based in bedroom, custom tube amp based in living room) because they are so light and comfortable to wear. I use them a LOT in bed with my Ipod! Bass repsonse is nice and full with good power and impact at the lowest end and mids and treble are smooth and nicely extended, with perhaps just a slight loss of sheen and harmonics at the very top compared with my best 'phones. All in all I am very pleased with the purchase and highly recommend these phones to people who need light, portable phones but who are finicky about sound quality. IMHO you won't be disappointed. About the only other phones I could recommend with this level of sound at these prices would beΒ  Grado Prestige Series SR80i Stereo Headphone Β but they are more bulky and less portable friendly though they do sound just a bit better in all respects. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pricey but worthy *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 13, 2011* Admitted I have not have much experience with headphones, but from my limited viewpoint I consider the PX-100 II a decent buy. I'm not a bass head, but these headphones have made me appreciate bass a bit more. On its construction, I really find the metal band on the top very aesthetically appealing while making it very durable. The open design makes PX-100 II very comfortable on the ears but may leak some sound to people near you. I really appreciate the single sided cord which prevents tangling. However the cord feels somewhat fragile and I'm constantly afraid one bad accidental tug may badly damage the cord.It's a bit expensive at 70 dollars, waiting for a price drop may be wise. I'd give this a 5 if it were cheaper and the construction of the cord was as good as the band but as it is, the PX-100 II gets 4 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Portable headphones-Sennheiser *by L***H on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 6, 2010* If you are like me, earbuds are uncomfortable and fall out-never a good fit but these on the other hand-pure bliss! They provide comfort and great sound quality offering portability for carrying around with your ipod, ipod touch, iphone or other portable device. They are great for using on the plane. So like earbuds, they are small and portable. Many headphones are cumbersome but these fold up like glasses making them a great travel companion, preferring these any day to earbuds or the other bulky headphones on the market. The larger headphones are great if you aren't traveling or walking around but these are perfect if you are on the go. You can't beat the sound quality and they offer them in white or black. My white headphones go great with the ipod touch and are very attractive. What a great find! What are you waiting for?
