The top, a slice in the front allows for a better fit. The lower, depending on the depth of your denture, you may want to trim it a bit. They're fantastic! If I'm going out to eat, I use a bit of poligrip on the bottom. The bottom tends to come loose with hot or cold drinks. Other than that, they stay put and no messy goop to clean up.
