She weighs 13 pounds and snuggled in nicely. She has never been in a sling before so I was surprised that she actually stayed in it and slept when we were done with our practice walk. I also have a 4 year old, 16 pound, Maltipoo (Deek) so I tried it with him as well.. guess what —it fit him with no problems and he loved it too!The fabric is not as soft as I thought it would be, but appears to be very sturdy and well made. I’ve seen other slings that seemed skimpy, but that is not the case with this one. My only concern is it may be a little hot for Holly (and me) in the summer. The sling was not only comfortable for Holly and Deek, it was comfortable for me too. I’m 67 years old and was able to manage quite well with this sling. It was much easier than carrying Holly in my arms and helped me give Deek a longer walk since Holly could rest!
