They came already assembled, minus the feet, which were easy to put on with the tools that came with. The drawer tracks are smooth and glide very easily. The drawers are alittle sticky to pull, especially the smaller top drawer, they tend to want to really stay closed. The top drawer comes with nice padded black foam on the bottom, great for electronics. I am overall impressed with the quality of these, though the white paint could have been sprayed better around the underside of the top lip. They arrived on time and were extremely well packaged. UPS had damaged the outside one of the shipping boxes but the nightstand was unharmed. All I had to do was unpack it and place it on its back and put the little legs on. It is quite heavy and looks great in the guest room. It is not a high end piece of furniture but an excellent nightstand for the price. The drawers are not easy to open by design - child latch of some kind.
