The author, Catherine Martin writes in a style that truly reaches the heart and uses the most wonderful additional material from writers such as A.W.Tozer, Wesley, Hudson Taylor, David Livingston, Amy Carmichael, and many, many more to drive home the messages that will help you understand God through their eyes. I was skeptical at first that what I would find was a light or weak contemporary devotional wanna be. NOT! I have never seen a devotional book help someone develop a passion for God as this book has in my home. My youngest daughter (14) chose to repeat this book to glean more from it before starting another book by Martin. She told me that she has learned to pray more effectively because of its acrostic. She also made it a practice (for months now) that she would do nothing before she has spent time in her Bible, prayer, and this book each day. I credit this book and Catherine Martin's God-sent and Spirit-filled ministry, "Quiet Time Ministries". Thank you, Catherine Martin!
