I did not expect the super thick, warm fleece, comfortable style and sizing, and great design! There’s separate tightening straps for the outer hood and and chin part and my daughter says it’s very warm. It held up to the Arctic wind on the prow of a moving whale-watching boat off the coast of Canada in September when all the adults were absolutely frozen and hiding in every layer we had with numb ears, but my daughter’s face was protected and she didn’t have to hold her hat on her head like every other person there.
